The Cannon Mountain Tram is a great way to see magnificent views of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The 80-passenger cable car can get you to the 4,080′ summit in under 10 minutes. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of four states and Canada. There’s a walking path that you can take up to the observation deck. I’d recommend heading up in the fall.
